Epidemiology of Endemic Parasites among the Chepang

Project: ANMF has provided a grant to PARASED to study the epidemiology of endemic parasites among Chepangs at Taklung VDC, Gorkha. This projects aims to elevate the health status of the Chepangs by:

  • determining the prevalence of intestinal parasites among the Chepang population;
  • learning the status of filariasis among the study population;
  • studying the status of ectoparasites like head louse, body louse, etc. among the Chepangs; and
  • surveying the prevalence of malaria.
