America Nepal Medical Foundation has already handed over the constructed prefabricated health posts to Ministry of Health, Government of Nepal and the health posts are now delivering the health care services at the specific rural municipalities. The constructed prefabricated health posts proved to be very useful and helpful at most of the rural municipalities as the facility is spacious and is well equipped. Some of the health post (Bhimtar health post) are even about to be upgraded and one at Chautara district hospital has been of help to provide maternal and neonatal services. Furthermore Attarpur health post and Listikot health post are providing the health care services to most rural parts of Nepal in a spacious and welcoming prefab structure (separate rooms that can be used accordingly). The field visits done periodically helped us find out that the health posts with a dedicated representative and which consist of supportive and caring villagers are growing bigger and better than those with the villagers with unsupportive nature and a representative with his personal medical clinic in that particular municipality.
As a whole the health post rebuilding project was a very fruitful project and hundreds of people living in rural Nepal are receiving the health care services form their own rural municipality which is a very big thing indeed for the people of Nepal who had to travel a very long way from their home to receive the basic health care services if there are no health posts near their villages for which they are very much thankful towards ANMF. |
