| Project: | After successfully completing the first phase of our operational setup and achieving “A” grade status for our blood bank, we now require additional equipment to further strengthen and expand our services. To fulfill our core objective of supplying blood and blood components directly to hospitals, we urgently need essential blood bank equipment, along with transportation support such as a delivery van and scooters for direct hospital distribution. |
| Goals: | As our blood collection rate continues to increase, upgrading our operational capacity has become crucial to ensure efficiency, quality, and uninterrupted service. Therefore, we respectfully request the allocation of this budget to procure the required equipment and to support future expansion, enabling us to operate smoothly and serve patients more effectively. |
| Need: | Due to the shortage of essential blood bank equipment, as well as the lack of a dedicated van and scooters, it has become challenging to operate our services smoothly, professionally, and in a timely manner. To ensure efficient operations, we urgently require the requested equipment, along with appropriate transportation facilities.
Our primary objective is to deliver blood and blood components directly to hospitals whenever required. This will eliminate the burden on patients’ families, who are currently forced to travel from place to place to arrange blood—a major challenge within Nepal’s blood collection system. With the necessary equipment and transportation support, we can ensure timely, reliable, and patient-centered blood supply services. |

| Description: | Lions Clubs International, a global voluntary service organization in over 210 countries, has dedicated a century to the motto “We Serve.” In Nepal, LCI Multiple District-325 has been actively contributing to societal welfare since 1971. MD-325 has collaborated with Tribhuvan University to establish the T.U. Lions Blood Transfusion and Research Center (TULBTRC), marking a historic milestone in Lionism in Nepal. Initially, 1,200 Lions members came together to contribute 25,000 rupees per head and built a two-storied building of 16,428 sq. ft. at the Tribhuvan University premises. With the commitment of around 2,400 Lion members from various districts who contributed NRs. 25,000 each, this institution now serves as a beacon of hope with LCI’s 100 years of worldwide service. |
| Served: | We have been in operation for the past one and a half years, during which we have collected over 15,000 units of blood. Our blood bank separates 100% of the collected blood into three components, enabling us to serve more than 17,000 patients to date. |
