Nepal Medical Association (NMA), Epidemiology and Disease Control Division (EDCD) and America Nepal Medical Foundation (ANMF) had partnered in order to start a tele-consultation service for the home isolation covid patient [21ANMF004] and [21ANMF011]. So, the people who are in home isolation they use this service to ask any questions related to their health. EDCD chief Dr. Krishna Paudel, NMA President Dr. Lochan Karki, General Secretary Dr. Badri Rijal and ANMF president Dr. Bhupendra Basnet had a meeting and planned that ANMF will support the human resources. More 3 months extension of this project is needed as cases are on the rise and it will be helpful for the covid patients.
The main goal of the project is to provide specialist consultation to the patients who need it and also other normal consultation service to the patients in need. Patients are referred to the specialist according to the need and otherwise the Medical officer will attend the call.
The project is needed because the home isolated patient will get easy service with having difficulty to visit the hospitals and try and reach out to the specialist doctors. The tele-consultation center will entertain calls of patient who are in need of the specialist and will forward the calls to the related specialist need for the patients. The service will be a great help to patients with covid and in need of specialist consultation. |
