The health post shelters have been going on and we would like to share that our designs are semi permanent which can be shifted from one place to another and can act as an accessory room in case the permanent structures are up. Furthermore the flex outer cover can be changed every two years for a meager 25 USD by even a local person to make the structure look as good as new again. We have had over 120 shelters installed across 13 of the 14 earthquake hit districts and are very proud to state that it has been used successfully for schools, health posts, orphanages, hostels, physiotherapy centres and even school libraries and child friendly spaces. We will soon be dispatching another 31 across to Sindhupalchowk, Nuwakot and Lamjung for health posts and school once the fuel crisis decreases. The shelters are still in very good condition even after 5 months in the field and have survived the monsoon quite incredibly. Now Dr. Bijay Tamang, from Health and Development Society Nepal (and the same on the updates of my facebook pages kawasthi and Health-and-Development-Society-Nepal) is heading the shelter project and we would be open to utilizing the support of ANMF in the most positive way possible. Dr. Bijay will also be corresponding with the Nepalese team to identify the areas where we will be setting up the shelters.
