Despite all the services provided by KAHS there is a consistent problem of not having a blood bank. This has hampered our ability to manage cases effectively, led to referrals in many cases due to lack of blood roducts, inability to run the dialysis machines, untimely deaths of cases and many more. Nepal army personnel’s ,Staffs and doctors of KAHS are managing blood donation in need since 10 years, which seems inadequate and unreliable source of blood. |

| Need: |
The establishment of a blood bank in KAHS is not just a medical necessity but also a humanitarian and public health imperative. It addresses critical healthcare needs, enhances emergency preparedness, promotes community involvement, and contributes to the overall well-being of the population served by the institution. Despite knowing the importance of blood bank we have not been able to establish a blood bank at our center. This is primarily due to the lack of budget. We have requested to the federal and provincial government repeatedly for the budget but we haven’t received it despite several assurances. So, we request you for the establishment of blood bank. Attached herewith is the proposed cost of blood bank. |
