Unfortunately, the project is moving very slowly due to current circumstances. Despite the current challenges, we have made some progress:
- We have shared the building construction project with our local management committee in Rolpa;
- We have open bid for building for pre-fabricated house in Rolpa; and
- Finalization of site visit for building construction with successful contractor after the bidding finalization at end of 2nd week of February.

Report received. Despite several challenges, 50% of the project work has been completed by mid-April 2016. According to contractor and site engineer, the remaining task will be completed by end of May 2016. Before project action the estimated cost was US $30,000, which was excluding land development. After site visit and project progress report, the total project cost is US $31,634. |

Rolpa prefab house has been completed. Water supply and electricity connection process going on. After completion of that the CEC activity will be shifted at this building from Red Cross building. That will allow more space to Red Cross Society District Chapter in Rolpa in one hand and in other Rolpa CEC will have more opportunity to provide eye care service to more people by having its own infrastructure. |

The eye health service has been delivered through the newly built building in Rolpa CEC. A total of 3,208 patients have benefited in the period of four months (from January to April) of this year. Of them, 1,395 patients attended at centre and others were treated in outreach program such as screening and surgical eye camp. At a surgical camp organized in western part of district (out of Liwang), a total of 90 surgeries were performed in remote surgical eye camp in mid-February of this year. |
