Since first earthquake occurred, Dhulikhel Hospital, a tertiary level community based hospital at the central level, has been actively involved in managing earthquake victims. As an immediate response, the hospital delivered free medical and surgical services to all the patients. Even during the aftershocks, the doctors did not stop their service. It also offered free food services to the patients and their families with support of local communities. We provided medical treatment to 3679 people injured in the earthquake, conducted 554 complex surgeries, 3414 procedures and other surgeries, 2708 (head count) and 10832 (individual count) X-Rays and 265 CT scans. With the support of our friends and donors, we also support a relief package for the earthquake victims who were discharged. With successful immediate response to quake, the hospital then mobilised its team and resources to serve highly affected communities.
