Health Foundation Nepal (HFN) is a charity, non-profit, non-political organization formed by a group of active and motivated volunteer professionals who believe in humanitarian support to people in need. HFN is registered both in United States and Nepal. It aims to promote health of rural and under-served people who are usually poor, vulnerable, socially excluded. Many people in Nepal are still struggling to get primary health care services. People are facing issues related to availability, accessibility and affordability of quality health services provided by governmental, non-governmental and private sectors.

HFN focuses on evidence based planning and execution of public health interventions to ensure accessibility and availability of comprehensive primary health care services to those whose health care needs are not met. Working principles of HFN include equity, social justice, community involvement, intersectoral coordination and collaboration, self-reliance and appropriate technology.
