18 Oct 15	Report received. DH provided medical treatment and outbreak prevention activities to thousands of sufferers living in 18 rural villages and its vicinities through its outreach centres. 1. Community coordination and management committee formation Community participation is key factor in success of any project. It will help in ownership of program by community as well as in long term success of program. For this program also, we coordinate with community stakeholders before the start of the project. The stakeholder helped in identification of space for tank installment and formation of management committee for taking care of the water tank and chlorination of the water. The management committee has been formed in Bansbari and Bolde. The coordination process is ongoing in Baluwa. 2. Construction site evaluation and design development An engineer from hospital visited the area. He evaluated site for suitability and design of base and pipe connection. According to site evaluation appropriate base and pipe connection has been designed in Bansbari and Bolde VDC. In other site, evaluation will be done. 3. Water Tank Delivery Delivery of water tank (5×5000 liters each) has been done in Bansbari and Bolde. Once the management committee will be formed in Baluwa, the process for delivery will be started. 4. Base construction and installment of pipe system Base construction is going on the Bansbari and in the process of identifying appropriate person for construction in Bolde. There had been few challenges like landslide in Melamchi highway, landslide on the way to Bolde, month long Madhesh andolan and now undeclared Indian restriction which has slow the progress of work. However, we are very committed and hopeful that we will be able to finish on time.
27 Mar 16	Report received. At Bansbari – water tank base construction and installation have been completed. At Bolde – water tank base construction and installment have been completed At Baluwa – community coordination and management committee formation has been done. Water tank has been delivered to the Baluwa. Base construction and installation of pipe system is in process. At Thansing – coordination with community has been done. The construction site has been evaluated and design has been made. Water tank delivery is in the process.
23 Jun 16	Report received. At Bansbari safe drinking water tank installment has been completed. At Bolde safe drinking water distribution system has been established in Bolde with 5 water tanks, base and connecting pipes. At Baluwa water distribuition system is being installed. At Thansing water tank is being installed in five places.
24 Dec 16	Of the four sites, construction work is still not completed at Thansingh and Baluwa. Remarkable works were done at Bolde VDC, Kavre district and almost 80-85 households are receiving drinking water from proper facilities. ANMF/Nepal will follow up and do site visits.
27 Jan 17	Report received from ANMF/Nepal. Baruwa, Sindhupalchowk – Still in progress. The previous water source dried up and a new source had to be searched. Bansbari/Bahunepati, Sindhupalchowk – Already installed and local villagers are benefiting from it. Reports are yet to be received. Thansing, Nuwakot – Already installed and local villagers are benefiting from it Reports are yet to be received. Bolde, Kavre – Already installed and local villagers are benefiting from it Local villagers are requesting to upgrade the water supply system.
27 May 17	This project is complete but the final reports and the remaining bills have not yet been submitted to ANMF/Nepal.
23 Jul 17	Final report received. "With the support of the American Nepal Medical Foundation, we could establish two, one medium and one small scale, water collection and distribution system at rural communities of the Dhulikhel outreach catchment area. Similarly, we could establish the small reservoir serving the cluster of houses and restored the medium level water tank reservoir in the rural communities. All of our works are done with active involvement of the community member as well as the stakeholders, thus help to build trust and good relation with local communities."
